Experince Nature changes its color in every season

Conceptualised in 2025, it turned into reality in 2026.

It all started in 2025. Alumni of MACT/MANIT ( Maulana Azad National Institute, formerly Maulana Azad College of Technology) had their Aluumni Meet at Ukhamati Village on 15 and 16th Jan.

Some 15 Alumni from various cities of India as well as US came here. It started as an idea to develop an wetland for various pruposes like bird watching, hospitality for people who wish to experience Mising village in Assam with modern facilities.

The wetland has three islands, one main island with approx size of 6000 square meter, two smaller islands of approx 1500 square meter each. There is no land connectitivity between islands and there is one entrance to the main island.​

Who we are

We are desecndants of Tasong Pegu who came to this area after 1950 Earthquake in North East India.

He, along with other 25 families, started the village, what is now known as Ukhamati.
Five brothers, Labiram, Bhemeswar, Late Dr. Jugesh Pegu, Bhemeswar Pegu, Uttam Pegu and Jayant Pegu came together for this project.

It Is a SHG​(Self Help Group)

We brothers came together to form a SHG ( Self Help Group) and developed this wetland for various pruposes as described in other sections.
We wish to make this project sustainable livelihood project and set an example where brothers come together to establish such project. ​
